carly Allen
Carly is the principal of Vital Signz Dance, which was co-founded by Anna Martin and herself in 2009.
With over 22 years of teaching experience, Carly is an extraordinary teacher, choreographer, and dancer who has a passion for sharing her love of dance. She is a strong and versatile dancer who began her career in classical dance and has now fused this with her love for hip hop. She has worked for prestigious organisations such as Channel 4, Smirnoff, Sky, Tresor Paris, Sadlers Wells, Siobhan Davies, Peacock Theatre, and Clothes Show Live, among many others. Carly has also taught at numerous schools, colleges, and universities across the country.
Carly enjoys sharing her passion for dance with her students and educating them on the foundations and styles of hip hop. She has choreographed for various competitions and hip hop theatre productions, including winning the choreographer and best performance for 'The Wizards Tale.' Carly is a qualified UDO (United Dance Organisation) Teacher who has achieved astounding 100% pass results for her students in their exams. She also mentors and trains teachers for their UDO Teachers Exam.
Carly is dedicated to giving back to her community and has worked with Achieving for Children and Kingston Mencap, delivering dance and fitness classes for everyone to enjoy.
The main focus for Carly is to provide a safe space and environment for her students at Vital Signz Dance, where they can develop their confidence and enjoy dance.
Shannon Barker
Shannon has embarked on her journey at Vital Signz Dance, beginning as a dancer and gradually advancing to become a teacher and choreographer over the past five years.
Her deep passion for teaching and nurturing her students is a vital aspect of our dance studio. Shannon is dedicated to encouraging and bringing out the best in our dancers. With her extensive experience, she has participated in multiple Hip Hop Theatre Productions, including the acclaimed 'The Wizards Tale,' where she portrayed various roles and characters. Additionally, she co-choreographed and created our recent productions of 'Twist' and 'Descendantz.'
As a resident choreographer and teacher at Vital Signz Dance, Shannon works closely with our dance teams, competition crews, saturday classes, and our adult street dance classes. She challenges them to their full ability, enabling their growth and development.
Shannon's creativity, choreography, and modern theatre ideas are simply captivating. She brings out the best in our students, who deeply appreciate her for this.

Libby Ash
Libby started her Hip Hop training at Vital Signz Dance at a young age, where she also obtained her Teachers Training Certificate. She continued to pursue her passion for dance by graduating from the London Studio Centre in 2023.
With a solid background in modern, musical theatre, hip hop, and commercial dance, Libby is now working as a performer. Her credits include the Huawei phone gala, collaborations with Doritos and Burger King, TikTok, and a promotional video for Megan Thee Stallion, to name a few. Currently, Libby is enhancing her skills and knowledge through training with the renowned Boy Blue.
We are excited to have Libby teaching our Musical Theatre class, as well as our adult beginner courses and other classes.
Libby's classes are enjoyable, and her bubbly personality helps boost the confidence and skills of all our dancers.
All our Teachers hold UDO Dance Teachers Qualification, a fully enhanced DBS & Insurance.
